Welcome to the Prairie State Energy Campus

The Prairie State Energy Campus is a major electricity generating station and coal mine planned for Lively Grove, Ill. The campus would provide clean, low-cost electricity, create up to 500 permanent jobs and revitalize the area by annually injecting nearly $125 million in direct benefits into the Illinois economy. Prairie State will be among the largest private capital projects planned for Southern Illinois.
