Coal Mine Employment Update

Prairie State is now soliciting applications for qualified individuals with underground coal mine experience!  Individuals who have at least three (3) years of underground coal mining experience or applicable technical skills are encouraged to submit an application.  Those who meet Prairie State’s screening requirements will be advised as to the next steps in the employment process, including taking Prairie State’s battery of pre-employment tests. Individuals currently enrolled in the Mine Certification program through the Illinois Eastern Community College (IECC) will receive direct communication about employment opportunities from Prairie State during scheduled classes.
