Prairie State continues to prevail in the courts of law and public opinion, with the Seventh Circuit Court again affirming Prairie State's superior environmental controls. Unanimously, judges in the Seventh Circuit have rejected a petition to rehear the case on Prairie State's air permit.

 

Prairie State represents the next generation model of clean electricity from coal, and will provide low-cost electricity, billions of dollars of new investments and hundreds of jobs for area residents. Full-scale construction has commenced and units 1 and 2 are expected to be online in the 2011-2112 timeframe.
