Junior Achievement

Prairie State Energy Campus (PSEC) is a proud participant in the Junior Achievement’s “JA in a Day” program as one of two major community efforts selected by the Management Committee (along with PSEC’s Annual Holiday Food & Toy Drive).  PSEC staff donate their time each spring and fall to volunteer in the” JA in a Day” program.  On December 16, 2009, 30 volunteers converged on the Okawville Grade School to teach JA principles in eight classes of Kindergarten through 4th grade.  JA’s elementary school program teaches students the basic concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace.  To learn more about JA, visit Elementary Grade Programs.  It was a great day for the students and the volunteers.
